We are partnering with Chef Denise Ward of "Chowhound Cooking Classes" for the ultimate sampling of the best Santa Cruz County has to offer. Choose from a simple sightseeing tour with a meal featuring fresh, local ingredients to a full culinary experience that includes planning the meal and procuring the ingredients and ends with either a cooking demonstration or a mini-cooking class.

Denise offers cooking classes and personal chef services emphasizing fresh, simple, creative cuisine. Whatever your time frame or level of interest in creating your meal, we have a tour for you. Tours include local wines or beers and recipes for dishes prepared.

The Simple, Sumptuous Sampling
(approximately 3 - 3 1/2 hours)
Tour features a tasty sampling of local sights or a gentle spin in the redwoods served with a freshly prepared meal in a home setting or at a local winery.

4-8 Guests - $125 each

The Farmers Market Experience*
Denise will take your group on a tour of a local farmers market to show you how to select the finest, freshest local ingredients for your meal. This will be combined with a leisurely bike ride through the woods or along the coast, then you can choose:

Farmers Market with Cooking Demonstration
(approximately 4 - 4 1/2 hours)
The fresh ingredients that you have selected with Denise are transformed into a wonderful and satisfying meal before your eyes at a local winery or in a home setting.

4-8 Guests - $140 each
9 or more Guests - $130 each (winery only)

Farmers Market with Mini Cooking Class
(approximately 4 1/2 - 5 hours)
You'll return to Denise's where you'll learn hands-on how to prepare your meal with the fresh ingredients you've selected and enjoy it along with local wines or beers of your choosing.

4-8 Guests - $155 each

*Farmers Markets are open Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday. For other days, we will visit Deluxe Foods of Aptos, one of the area's finest gourmet super markets, to learn from their experts on how to select the finest ingredients.

Larger groups can be accommodated but require another facility, so prices for those tours will be determined accordingly.

Tours include bikes, helmet, water, snacks and binoculars for the ride as well as wine or beer with your meal.
